PPSC Kiskatinaw Fall Fair Food Booth

Hi all! Thank you for your interest in and generous support for the Peace Pregnancy Support Centre! Last year we were trying to relaunch, and by God's grace we were able to do so.

Of course, we need funds to keep all this going, so... here's your chance to help!

We need volunteers again this year for the Kiskatinaw Fall Fair Food Booth Fundraiser! Please review the available slots in the link and click on the button to sign up.  As volunteers, you're eligible to receive one free portion of whichever meal you're serving in appreciation for the gift of your time.  If you have supervisory skills, please contact us to let us know

Pregnancy Care Canada
Annual Conference
April 22 - 25, 2024

Thank you for all your prayers during the week of April 22nd as Grettel and Susan traveled to attend the annual conference and training in Saskatoon. It was very successful, allowing us to rejuvenate by learning more and praying and fellowshipping with other front-line workers in the industry

Dawson Creek Walmart
Information Booth
May 10 & 11

The information booth at the Dawson Creek Walmart on May 10 & 11 was a great success. We were able to inform the public that we are open and made some very good community connections.

Thank you, Walmart, for hosting us.

Volunteer
Training

In May we were able to train volunteers to work within the Centre to better serve our community. If you also would like to volunteer to work within the Centre, please contact us.

Green Gradient Monotone Minimalist Prese

On Friday, April 5th, the Dawson Creek community gathered for the extraordinary Night for Hope – Revived! I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to the event’s success. Last year’s Night for Hope focused on reopening PPSC, while this year we concentrated on sustaining our operations.

In the days leading up to the Night for Hope, we were filled with a mix of anxiety and anticipation. Will we have enough volunteers? Will we gather enough donations? Will we reach or surpass last year’s success? Susan, the Centre’s Administrative Assistant, and I shared a spreadsheet file listing donations, the number of volunteers needed, and tasks to complete. Day by day, as we crossed items off the to-do list, the list of contributions and volunteers inversely grew longer. For every new need or task, a donation was made, or another volunteer stepped up.

Thanks to all of you, the event unfolded with remarkable results. We raised a total of $11,850, which will directly support our Centre’s mission to provide compassionate help to those facing unplanned or challenging pregnancies. Your generosity ensures that no one has to face these challenges alone.

I also commend Susan for leading the volunteers and skillfully organizing the auction flow, and the 32 volunteers who devoted their time and effort to making the event possible. I also extend my gratitude to BCF – Bible Community Fellowship for their uplifting live music and to Kaitlin Keber for her exceptional work as emcee, adding vibrant energy to the evening. Special thanks to Gary Bratt for his dynamic auctioneering, which brought excitement and joy to the night.

I am humbled by your support and blessed by the unity and revival that marked the night. As Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” To everyone who joined us as a guest, donor, or volunteer, your presence illuminated the night with hope. We at PPSC are inspired to continue our vital work. Indeed, it was a night of HOPE – REVIVED!

See our "Acknowledgments" page for a full listing of our Sponsors and Volunteers - without them God's Mission could not be carried out.
